We're offering a 16-week, paid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Training Program in partnership with a PA Department of Health-accredited EMT school. You'll earn while you learn, gain hands-on experience, and step into a full-time EMT role upon successful completion. Why Join This Program? + Paid Training: Earn $18.12/hour while attending class and gaining field experience. + Program Dates: January 13 - May 7, 2026. + Location: UPMC and Penn College's Main Campus. + Tuition-Free: All program costs are covered by UPMC Susquehanna Regional EMS with the successful completion and certification. A one-year education agreement is required. + Career Growth: After certification, transition into a full-time EMT role at $18.49/hour. + $5,000 Sign-On Bonus: Available for full-time EMTs with a two-year commitment. •️ What You'll Learn & Do + Real-World Experience: Start with observation and progress to direct patient care under the guidance of certified EMTs and paramedics. + Comprehensive Training: Prepare for the National Registry EMT exams while working full-time. + Emergency Response: Learn to respond to 911 calls, provide life-saving care, and operate emergency vehicles. + Teamwork & Communication: Work closely with EMS teams and communicate effectively with patients and dispatch. Key Responsibilities After Certification + Provide basic life support and patient care for all ages. + Safely operate emergency vehicles and transport patients. + Maintain accurate documentation and patient records. + Restock supplies, clean equipment, and support EMS operations. + Commit to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
