Department Summary:
L1A0 is the Systems Engineering Innovation Center for MITRE. We apply systems engineering innovation and rigor to solve the most critical Sponsor problems.
Roles & Responsibilities:
+ Collaborates with L1A0 resource and capability leaders to gather and leverage business intelligence that enhances strategic offerings and optimizes cost efficiency.
+ Retrieves, analyzes, and interprets business, operational, and customer data to inform decision-making and improve organizational effectiveness.
+ Identifies and visualizes trends, patterns, and insights through reports and data dashboards to support leadership decisions.
+ Conducts market research and forecasting to inform strategies related to market penetration, sales trends, and product positioning.
+ Monitors and analyzes operational and financial data to ensure the Division operates efficiently and within budget constraints.
+ Partners with department heads and cross-functional teams to align on goals, manage daily operations, and improve business processes.
+ Supports project management activities, including staffing allocations, budgeting, and coordination, serving as a Clarity delegate where applicable.
+ Coordinates administrative tasks such as meeting scheduling, purchasing requisitions, and data call responses to ensure seamless operations.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Typically requires a minimum of 1 year of related experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships and collaborate across teams.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, SharePoint) and analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
+ Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform business decisions.
+ Experience preparing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for leadership audiences.
+ Strong understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and cost management principles.
+ Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and support multiple concurrent projects.
+ Effective time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities; comfortable working in a high-pressure environment.
+ This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience working in a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC) or similar mission-driven organization.
+ Familiarity with MITRE’s Clarity or comparable project management systems.
+ Demonstrated experience driving process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
+ Experience with how to gather business intelligence and exploit it, especially within current MITRE enterprise technology

Salary compensation range and midpoint:
$82,500 - $103,000 - $123,500 Annual
