Job Description
PURPOSE OF JOB:
Drives the in-branch sales, outside business development of assigned territory, branch member service and branch goal achievement. Retains full responsibility for the operational, security integrity and profitability of a full service smart branch.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Contributes to the achievement of corporate goals by driving the sales efforts of assigned branch.
+ Sets individual sales and referral goals to achieve the overall branch goals.
+ Monitor employee's individual sales and referral results against set individual goals and provides regular feedback.
+ Evaluates staff performance and identifies any need for coaching and/or training of sales skills, product knowledge, etc. to improve effectiveness in any aspect of their job responsibilities.
+ Coaches and counsels direct reports, maintains performance records and conducts quarterly and annual performance evaluations.
+ Provides continuous sales training, development and motivation of branch employees.
+ Conducts regular (minimum weekly) sales meetings to review results and drive the attainment of branch goals.
+ Conducts regular (recommended weekly) product knowledge review meetings with staff.
+ Keeps branch employees informed of information received from Corporate, communications concerning policies, procedures and other communiqués.
+ Selects and hires applicants who meet branch position qualifications.
+ Must be service experts who require excellent member service from all branch employees.
+ Monitors the member service skills of branch employees, providing or arranging for training and coaching as needed.
+ Reaches out to members who have rated us with a detractor score, or has provided comments for improvement as a passive or promoter.
+ Satisfactorily resolves member service complaints, both verbally and in writing.
+ Responsible for the operational and security integrity of the branch.
+ Conducts or supervises monthly branch self-audits.
+ Ensures that general ledger transactions/errors are resolved promptly.
+ Responsible for the results of branch audits conducted by Internal Audit.
+ Manages the growth of the branch loan portfolio and deposit base through ongoing business development activities within assigned territory.
+ Responsible for continuous sales / cross-sell and referral training, development and motivation of branch employees.
+ Sets specific sales / referral goals for each branch employee, tracks and reports staff sales / cross-sell and referral results.
+ Ensures branch employees conduct daily telemarketing on pre-approval lists, as well as follow-up on member contacts, i.e. new memberships and new checking accounts.
+ Assist and advise members in the selection and opening of all credit union accounts and loans. Process mortgage and consumer loan applications, complete documentation as appropriate and fund loans.
+ Makes periodic service calls on established SEG groups within assigned territory.
+ Locates and develops new business within the local community as well as becomes an active member of key community organizations such as local the Chamber of Commerce, Boeing NMA, etc.
+ Develops methods/plans to increase sales results and increase accountability for performance.
+ Continually monitors and drives the attainment of branch goals.
+ Controls and monitors branch expenses (including overtime).
+ Efficiently manages staffing and scheduling within the approved FTE count.
+ Independently manages and directs the numerous responsibilities of a full service branch.
+ Continuously develops & cross-trains branch staff to efficiently perform delegated tasks & responsibilities.
+ Identifies and implements solutions to branch inefficiencies and makes recommendations to Corporate.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. Computer Literate -- Word, Excel Programs. Supervisory experience in the branch environment of a financial institution preferred.

The pay range for this position is listed above. Our pay ranges are designed to allow for candidates with various levels of experience and skill to be considered, and to allow room for growth to be achieved in a role over time. Generally, new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their individual combination of experience, knowledge, skills, and education as well as internal equity.
