Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Transmission Line Design Engineer to support one of our largest energy and utility clients in southern Indiana. This person will be well-versed in engagements with RTO, energy providers and general regulatory affairs within the energy and utilities industry. This person will serve as a liaison between financial staff, engineering staff, and MISO contacts. This person is responsible for helping make decisions on gaining or reducing loads on the current transmission systems, evaluating and modeling costs associated with either procuring or generating the loads themselves. This person will also be sitting in on system planning engineering meetings to assess current situations, modeling financial outcomes with options associated with those situations, and recommending the best path forward. This person will lead the organization's regulatory transmission engagement with MISO and PJM, including tariff management, compliance and advocacy for favorable policy outcomes. This person also represents the organizations interests in FERC meetings and collaborates with legal counsel on regulatory filing and proceedings. This person will need strong analytical, strategic planning and financial modeling skills along with having a deep understanding of FERC regulations, MISO/PJM tariffs and transmission economics.

Skills and Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in transmission economic analysis, regulatory affairs, or related areas
• Energy, Utilities, or RTO industry experience
• Ability to understand and create transmission financial models
• Bachelor's Degree • Experience with MV90
• Engineering background
• Transmission planning experience
• Previous experience with MISO or other RTO's
