    Job Description

    Overview

    Insight Global is seeking Staff Backend Engineers to support the development of a scalable billing system for a central healthcare platform. This platform enables patients to manage scheduling, billing, communication with care teams, and treatment tracking. Your work will directly impact patient engagement, retention, and operational efficiency.

    Responsibilities

    Design and development of robust, scalable backend services and APIs for the billing system.

     

    Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance systems.

     

    Contribute to architectural decisions and backend development best practices.

     

    Optimize data flows and system integrations to support enterprise-level functionality.

    Compensation:

    $75/hr -$85/hr.

     

    Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

     

    Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.     Skills and Requirements

    Required Qualifications

    8–10+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a focus on building and maintaining scalable, production-ready systems.

     

    Strong backend development experience using TypeScript and Node.js.

     

    Proven experience integrating third-party APIs in enterprise applications.

     

    Hands-on experience with microservices and/or event-driven architectures.

     

    Proficiency in AWS cloud environments.

     

    Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of aligning technical solutions with business objectives.

     

    Knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) or medical billing systems is a strong plus. • Knowledge of EHR or medical billing is strong plus
