Job Description

As a Senior Power BI Analyst in the Strategic Revenue & Analytics group at Global Medical Response, you will design, develop, and support enterprise-wide reporting and dashboard solutions using Power BI, with a strong focus on managing pipelines and integrations within a Power BI Fabric environment. You’ll collaborate with teams across patient accounting, clinical platforms, and multiple data warehouses to source, shape, and optimize large datasets for actionable analytics. Daily responsibilities include monitoring ETL processes, troubleshooting data refreshes, and implementing process improvements to ensure timely and accurate reporting. You’ll capture business and technical requirements, translate them into intuitive data models and visualizations, and respond to both routine and ad hoc requests from business leaders for clinical and revenue data. The role requires standardizing and documenting the reporting ecosystem, maintaining data governance, and ensuring data integrity through rigorous testing. You’ll stay current with Power BI updates and best practices, and act as a liaison between analytics and data management teams to drive continuous improvement. Clear communication, ownership of the reporting environment, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently are essential for success in this fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.

Additonal Duties:

• Design, develop, implement, and support enterprise-wide reporting and dashboard solutions in Power BI.

• Capture business and technical requirements to build intuitive, actionable data models, reports, and dashboards.

• Source, manage, and optimize data from SQL, Python, and multiple data warehouses (including patient accounting and clinical systems).

• Manage and optimize Power BI pipelines and gateway configurations within the Fabric environment.

• Monitor and troubleshoot daily ETL processes and Power BI report refreshes (currently 60+ reports).

• Standardize and clean up reporting models, integrate air and ground transport data (handling millions of rows), and manage incremental loads.

• Respond to ad hoc requests from business leaders (CAO, compliance, legal, contracts, business development) for clinical and revenue data.

• Collaborate with SQL/Data Management teams to source new datasets and enhance analytics.

• Document all aspects of the reporting ecosystem—data models, algorithms, metrics, formulas, refresh schedules.

• Routinely test data for accuracy and integrity; research and resolve data irregularities.

• Stay current on Power BI updates and new features.

• Create and manage report/dashboard subscriptions.

• Perform deep-dive analyses of billing, denial, volume, revenue trends, and root cause issues.

• Manage data governance to ensure consistent data presentation across business units.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related field.

5+ years in a business intelligence (BI) role.

3+ years hands-on experience designing, publishing, scheduling, optimizing, and supporting Power BI solutions.

Strong skills in developing efficient Power BI data models and dynamic visualizations.

Advanced proficiency in DAX for complex measures and queries.

At least 1 year of Python experience.

Extensive experience working within a Power BI Fabric environment, including managing pipelines, gateways, and cloud-based data integrations.

Experience with SQL, relational schemas, and managing data flows across multiple applications.

Ability to break down and organize complex environments, improve and manage reporting architecture, and take ownership of the reporting ecosystem.

Clear, effective communication skills—both oral and written. Healthcare revenue cycle experience.

Power BI certification and/or experience with AI agent development.
