Job Description

An employer is looking for a Program Manager to join one of our top Utility clients in the Nation. The Program Manager will play a pivotal role in developing documentation, helping to build a training program, and supporting reporting functions for large-scale utility projects. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in cost controls and utility environments, who can lead process ramp-up, training, and ongoing reporting for a high-volume, complex project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain documentation for project controls processes.

- Design and implement a comprehensive training program for new and existing team members.

- Take ownership of ad hoc and recurring reporting, especially for project controls.

- Support the ramp-up of new hires and teams, including training and onboarding.

- Collaborate with project controls and cost analyst teams to ensure process consistency and knowledge transfer.

- Assist with decks, co-pilot tasks, and general organizational support as needed.

Skills and Requirements

- 8+ years of experience in a Project Manager or Program Manager role within the utility industry

- Cost Controls background: Strong experience in cost controls within utility, renewables (wind/solar), or gas pipeline environments.

- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of business-side utility operations; experience in large-scale construction projects is essential.

- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead or be a key contributor in ramp-up, training, or process improvement initiatives

- Proficiency with scheduling/planning systems and advanced spreadsheet skills (macros not required but must understand their function).

- Reporting: Experience with ad hoc and structured reporting, including data analysis and presentation.

- Organizational Skills: Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and comfortable supporting various reporting and documentation needs. - Utility Experience

- Prior work in environments with high project volume and complexity.

- Familiarity with SAP, especially in the context of project controls and reporting.
