Job Description
An oncology provider in Sugarland, TX is looking to bring on a Medical Assistant. This person will be responsible for triaging patients, rooming patients, recording patient data, taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, administering injections, and some of the scheduling for appointments. They will also need to keep the patient rooms cleaned, organized, and prepared for new patients coming in. It is important they can thrive in a fast environment, possess strong communication skills, and attention to detail. Additionally, they should be comfortable completing other administrative tasks, i.e. patient telephone calls for referrals, phone in prescriptions, patient education, as requested by their supervisor or physician.

Skills and Requirements
2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant - specifically within oncology or gynecology
Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
Experience triaging patients and do patient intakes, rooming patients, taking vitals, chart prep and scheduling appointments when needed
Current CPR Certification
Experience with an EMR system
Comfortable working in Outlook and Teams
Self-motivated and thrives in a fast environment
Empathy/Compassion and love for what they are doing Experience working in an gynecology oncology clinic
