Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Taxonomist to join the Marketing & Communications organization of a leading academic medical center in New York. This person will manage and maintain the DAM system by uploading, organizing, tagging, and cataloging assets. They will develop and enforce metadata schema, taxonomy, and governance policies. They will support users with training, troubleshooting, and access management, oversee rights/permissions, ensure legal compliance, and collaborate with IT, creative, and departmental teams for integrations and upgrades. They will also monitor system performance, optimize workflows, and lead asset migration from legacy systems to ensure quality control. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational and communication skills and has the proven ability to work both independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of experience managing digital assets

Strong knowledge of metadata standards, taxonomy, and digital rights management

Proficiency with DAM platforms (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager, Bynder, Widen)

Bachelor’s in Library Science, Information Management, Digital Media, or related field Experience in healthcare, research, or education environments

Familiarity with HIPAA and privacy regulations

Knowledge of digital media formats (photo, video, design files)

Skills in video editing or graphic design
