The primary purpose of this job is to be responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating production at multiple facilities to ensure efficient operations and cycle time to enable on time performance relative to customer requested demand. Also responsible for order status to meet customer needs, review of deviations for material application, communicate with process customers regarding delays in manufacturing and review of inventory reports including disposition of slow-moving inventory as required. Lead, facilitate or participate in projects that continue to improve our operations either through teams or on an individual basis.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)

+ Responsible for understanding the system interactions to correctly reflect the demand versus supply in a timely update of the MRP database which includes maintaining/updating required files that are integral in the MRP accuracy.

+ Analyze and plan melt requests to ensure availability to fulfill customer requirements while considering melt schedule availability and allocations.

+ Provide recommendations on appropriate stocking levels (safety stock) to support planned demand.

+ Track and expedite (if necessary) through various operations accordingly to enable on time performance to customer request dates.
