The role you will contribute:
Responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the standard Charge Description Master (CDM) with a focus on system processes and data analytics. This position provides data to support the planning, organization, and implementation of strategic pricing to achieve financial goals. Additionally, this role involves periodic reviews of coding accuracy and adaptation of the chargemaster to clinical charge capture processes. In addition, this position assists department leadership with reporting applications and Revenue Cycle analytics, providing revenue data analysis. Supports revenue departments with charge capture initiatives driven by clinical and ancillary departments.

+ Provides decision support and recommendations to department leadership to foster positive business relationships and revenue functions.
+ Collaborates with clinical and non-clinical departments to support accurate and timely documentation for charge capture and processing to ensure optimal revenue integrity.
+ Supports Revenue Cycle reporting and analytics strategies, including data analysis to aid business operations and decision support.
+ Identifies areas for process improvement and standardization in charge capture and implements effective solutions.
+ Maintains awareness of new regulatory requirements and reimbursement changes at both State and Federal levels to adjust charging practices and information system rules.
+ Promotes best practices in charge capture, revenue integrity, and the revenue cycle.
+ Supports the revenue integrity team in departmental functions.
+ Confirms actual regulatory guidance concerning medical service charge practices.
+ Identifies HCPCS codes and associated revenue codes for primary payers.
+ Maintains detailed knowledge of CMS inpatient and outpatient prospective payment systems.
+ Assists the CDM team in making yearly and quarterly coding and charge configuration changes.
+ Verifies appropriate NDC to ensure correct billing of Pharmacy.
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance or Healthcare Administration or another related or another related field.
3 Work Experience years of revenue management, charge services, or project management experience in in a large healthcare system
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows; especially Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint
Cerner Patient Accounting and Cerner Millennium
Willing to travel up to 10% as needed
Ability to synthesize and communicate complex and diverse information
Ability to be self-directed and work with minimal supervision/oversight
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree
Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) or
Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR)
