Responsibilities

+ Deliver high-quality respiratory therapy to patients of all ages.

+ Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.

+ Perform diagnostic tests, administer treatments, and monitor patient progress.

+ Respond promptly to critical situations, ensuring safe and effective care.

+ Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and equipment use.

+ Maintain accurate, timely documentation and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Education:

+ Must be a graduate of an approved Respiratory Care Program

Certification/License:

+ Must be licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Iowa

+ Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist with the National Board for Respiratory Care

+ Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

+ Must possess and maintain current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification or within three (3) months from date of hire
