Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a Lead Technician. This position will report to the Plant Manager.

The Lead Technician will be responsible for ensuring production requirements are met, and the facility is operated in a safe, efficient, and compliant manner. This is a front-line operations role that will respond to unplanned events, work independently, and make technical decisions and recommendations to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of the facility. This position requires a combination of office and field work. Accessibility during off-hours (laptop and cell phone) is required.

Key responsibilities:

+ Direct plant's daily priorities and activities, giving guidance and direction to technicians.

+ Ensuring technicians are trained and supported to maximize potential.

+ Proactively and effectively communicating with Area Facilities Manager on operating plan and deviations.

+ Drive improvements in productivity and cost savings.

+ Compliance with all applicable regulatory, policy, and internal engineering standards.

+ Reading and interpreting Electrical Schematics, Process Diagrams, and Electrical One Line Diagrams.

+ Troubleshooting plant process, or equipment problems, and implementing solutions.

+ Maintain QA program, facilitate customer and corporate compliance.

+ Coordinates plant interruptions, major outage and project work with management and reliability centers.

+ Maintains documentation of equipment and processes.

+ Responsible for process safety information related to plant activities (MOC, HWP).

+ Operates units to continuously supply products in quantities and qualities safely and economically, complying with all environmental regulations, quality standards, and daily customer requirements.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

+ Associates in Applied Sciences Degree or equivalent apprenticeship preferred.

+ Minimum of three years Production Operations experience in an industrial environment strongly preferred.

+ Working knowledge of chemical plants, with a preference on industrial gas plant processes.

+ Experience with installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment.

+ Working knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) and Management of Change (MOC).

+ Excellent communication, team interaction, and presentation skills.

+ Self-starter who is comfortable working independently, effectively manages multiple tasks and achieves results with minimal supervision.

+ Must have a positive attitude, be willing to quickly adapt to changing situations, have strong communications skills, and a strong will to build and maintain productive relationships across departmental lines.

+ Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Pay commensurate with experience. Open to salary range $76,028 - $111,507.
