JOB SUMMARY:
Drives execution of communications across all Universal Kids Resort internal channels and programs. Ideates, develops, executes, and delivers Team Member communications programs with a focus on company-wide Team Member engagement campaigns. Supports the execution of original and compelling storytelling content, from concept through deployment, across multiple Internal Communication channels (publications, social media, Team Member websites, video, etc.) to drive increased Team Member engagement. Collaborates across UKR leadership to support resort-wide operational communications. Routes content to appropriate stakeholders for approval and follows up on items for completion. Serves as the Destination-lead for company communication campaigns and executions including HR initiatives, business policies and changes and marketing events.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Ideate, develop, and write news and compelling editorial content for use across various Internal Communications channels and in support of the GM/VP. Gather information from subject matter experts, conduct interviews, attend and cover events, and create or capture imagery as needed.
+ Develop creative concepts for initiatives such as Team Member storytelling, marketing campaigns, product launches, seasonal events, and operational support. This includes writing and formatting creative briefs, video scripts, and tactical overviews. Additionally, track and monitor the progress of campaign tactics to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
+ Draft, schedule, publish and execute communications across channels, including email, Intranet, social media, using appropriate tools. Support all Team Member channels through reporting and benchmarking. Ensure Team Universal UKR site and content is up to date and provide training and resources to Team Members on its use.
+ Support external communications for government and community relations projects, messaging, media inquiries and campaigns as directed. Serve as an extended member of the crisis communications team, driving operational impacts and communications that impact Team Members and Park Operations.
+ Partner with UDX Internal Communications leadership to develop a robust editorial calendar that supports UKR, Team Member engagement campaigns and other identified content themes. Ensures alignment and consistency across UDX Internal Communications with unique brand elements and stories for Universal Kids Resort.
+ Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities (KSAs) required.
+ Experience in a communications-related field or extensive, personal familiarity with communications processes and workflows is required.
+ Strong understanding of social media platforms required.
+ Strong writing skills, with portfolio of work examples.
+ Experience with project management platforms, such as Workfront and Airtable, is preferred.
+ Adobe Creative Cloud experience preferred. Familiarity with Canva, and quick adaptability to other multimedia content creation software is a plus.
+ High proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred.
+ Excellent interpersonal and team communication skills required.
+ Must be a team player – able to build and maintain strategic partnerships.
+ Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and independently.
+ Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines.
+ Ability to work under pressure, deadlines, and incomplete information.

EDUCATION:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field is required.
EXPERIENCE:
+ 2+ years of communications, public relations, or corporate communications is required, experience with social media, graphic or web design or video development experience is a plus; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
