Position Summary

The Custodian Worker is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing office, meeting rooms, bathrooms, kitchen areas and machine shop work areas in all facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

+ Cleans all facilities floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them.

+ Uses brooms, mops and vacuum cleaners as required.

+ Cleans equipment in the machine shop area.

+ Services, cleans and supplies restrooms and kitchen area.

+ Cleans windows, glass partitions and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and sponges.

+ Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.

+ Uses and properly labels all chemicals

+ Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

+ 1-3 Years' work experience

+ Proven working experience as a janitor

+ Good communication and interpersonal skills

+ Ability to follow oral and written instructions

+ Ability to prioritize multiple tasks

+ Ability to handle cleaning equipment

+ Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies

+ Ability to meet physical requirements, such as lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time

+ Integrity and ability to work independently

+ Must be Bilingual-Spanish
