The Opportunity:
We’re hiring RF Engineer Interns to join our Westminster, CO team for the summer of 2026! The internship will begin in May and last 10-12 weeks, you will be required to work 100% on-site. During the internship, you’ll receive mentorship from experienced engineers, gain hands-on experience in designing and testing High Power Amplifiers, RF Front Ends, and antenna systems (600MHz to 6GHz), utilize advanced tools like Microwave Office and HFSS, work with cutting-edge RF test instruments, and contribute to national defense initiatives.
Responsibilities:
+ Aid in the design of High Power Amplifiers, RF Front Ends, and antennas, ensuring they meet specified performance criteria
+ Perform simulations using AWR and/or HFSS to predict and analyze the behavior of RF circuits
+ Conduct tests using industry-leading RF test instruments to validate the performance of designed components/assemblies
+ Identify and troubleshoot issues that arise during the design and testing phases
+ Analyze test data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for design adjustments
+ Work closely with a team of engineers to build, test, and integrate RF assemblies into larger systems
+ Prepare detailed documentation of design processes, test results, and any modifications made
+ Work closely with a team of engineers to perform real world "outdoor" testing of completed systems to assess performance
+ Prepare and deliver presentations on project progress and findings to the team and stakeholders
+ Contribute creative ideas and solutions to enhance the performance and efficiency of RF systems
+ Help with the transition of prototype to production for new products
+ Provide and receive constructive feedback to improve both personal performance and team outcomes
Qualifications:
_Required:_
+ Must currently be enrolled as a graduate or doctoral student, pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
+ Have taken classes in electromagnetics, antenna design, passive and/or active microwave circuits, or wireless communication
+ Experience using standard RF equipment such as network analyzers or spectrum analyzers
+ Experience using commercial electromagnetic simulation software, such as HFSS, AWR or ADS
+ Python programming experience
_Desired:_
+ Lab experience with design, fabrication, and testing of RF technology
+ Schematic and layout experience (RF design experience is a bonus)
+ Experience with RF Cascade Analysis for metrics like noise figure, P1dB, and gain

**Pay Range** : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$53,100 - 106,300 USD
