Job Summary:
As a Quality Engineer III, you will work with minimal supervision using originality, ingenuity, and established procedures to control and monitor quality, ensuring processes and products are consistent with industry standards, government regulation, and customer requirements.
Essential Functions:
+ Drive quality principals while closely collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers and Customers.
+ Develop and deploy quality processes, plans, and tools for use throughout the organization to collect and analyze product data and evaluate product quality.
+ Implement and maintain AS9145 APQP program with cross-functional team for assigned programs and processes.
+ Drive qualification of product and process changes to ensure only the highest levels of quality are accepted.
+ Lead root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
+ Develop, implement, and monitor quality control systems such as KPIs, Inspection and Control Plans, and SPC to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
+ Instruct others in quality control and analytical procedures.
+ Produce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, root cause analyses, or quality trends.
+ Review statistical studies, regulatory standards and trends in the field of quality control and incorporate into the QMS.
+ Identify critical points in manufacturing and specify sampling procedures including switching rules.
+ Provide support for failure analysis and reliability testing as required.
+ Review and approve front-end customer requirements as a key stakeholder in the Bidding, Specification and Purchase Order processes.
+ Review and approve document changes - Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), deviations.
+ Utilize a roadmap of continuous improvement for the organization by establishing priorities, methods and strategies for implementation using data to both guide the process as well as monitor the result
+ Lead in-house process and system audits and support external regulatory and customer audits including closure of any corrective actions and support Quality Management in maintaining AS9100 certification.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Experience: 4+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in an Aerospace environment or similar manufacturing setting
+ Knowledge: Knows and applies advanced concepts, practices and procedures of assigned product or program; Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
+ Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated ability to plan and accomplish goals based on experience and judgment; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and outside professionals; Proficient in the use of Minitab, MS SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
+ Education: BA or BS degree in Quality, Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering – ASQC Quality Engineer Certification a plus
+ Eligibility Requirement: This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government. Additionally, as a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants selected could be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

**_Salary range: $113,100.00 to $133,200.00._** Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
