About the Role:
As a CBRE Technician, you will calibrate, maintain, and complete the minor repairs of scientific instrumentation. This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.
The Validation Technician will assist with thermal mapping and validation tasks for autoclaves and temperature controlled environments in a regulated pharmaceutical production setting. This position demands practical technical knowledge, excellent documentation abilities, and the capacity to work autonomously while engaging with diverse teams. The technician will be accountable for completing validation protocols, adjusting equipment, and guaranteeing adherence to regulatory requirements.
Please note: this role is Monday to Friday on administrative schedule but employee maybe ask to support validation activities in non standard or administrative hours including weekends.
What You’ll Do:
+ Take apart, examine, clean, fix, calibrate, check, and take care of equipment, systems, and controls.
+ Operate test equipment.
+ Participate in weekly planning meetings to review upcoming assignments.
+ Evaluate autoclave systems to understand operational criteria, utilities, and sanitary connections.
+ Generate and modify validation protocols specific to autoclave and cycle parameters.
+ Set up and complete validation tasks using appropriate instrumentation and software.
+ Calibrate sensors and verify performance using built-in software and reference tools.
+ Collaborate with Process Engineers and Production personnel to build validation load patterns.
+ Install thermocouple wires and biological indicators (Spore Strips/Ampoules) in load configurations.
+ Complete thermal mapping studies and collect biological samples for testing.
+ Document all validation activities and findings in real-time during protocol execution.
+ Analyze thermal mapping data and generate qualification and summary reports.
+ Responsible for locating part sources and estimating costs.
+ Document daily records of inspections, maintenance activity, repairs, and other work performed.
+ Coordinate with external contractors on repairs covered by maintenance agreements.
+ Assist with the development of equipment, maintenance, and calibration procedures.
What You’ll Need:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent experience, GED or equivalent experience, or trade school diploma or equivalent experience with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Must have appropriate license or certification where required by law.
+ Fulfill the physical demands of this position such as bending, walking, climbing, and lifting heavy objects over 50 lbs.
+ Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
+ Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Strong organizational skills with a curious attitude.
+ Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
