Senior Manager, Accommodation Standards & Compliance
**PRIMARY PURPOSE** : Sedgwick is a leader in the workforce absence industry, offering LTD, STD, FMLA/State and workplace/leave/RTW accommodation administration solutions. Sedgwick’s workforce absence product offerings include global workforce absence management administration.
This role is intended to:
+ Lead implementations of Sedgwick’s accommodation services.
+ Strengthen, implement, and expand our national accommodations delivery model while assisting with continuous improvement and evolving our international approach—ensuring alignment with industry standards and client expectations.
+ Develop and cultivate process expertise and efficiencies within our centralized accommodations team and effective coordination across operations, client services, and our strategic partners.
The individual in this role will be a visionary change leader and innovator in the accommodations space, driving Sedgwick’s recognition as a premier provider of accommodation solutions both nationally and globally.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Leads implementations and re-implementations of accommodations services for new and existing clients. Primary point of contact for ensuring client understanding, change management, and necessary foundational training for clients and applicable Sedgwick lines of businesses.
+ Partners with accommodations team leadership to enhance product offerings and enhanced coordination with all of Sedgwick’s lines of business, including workers’ compensation and managed care.
+ Establishes policies and processes to ensure compliance with state, national and international best practices, claims management services standards, applicable state, federal, and international laws, and client requirements on new programs.
+ Maintains complete understanding of new program design, processes, client expectations and partner relationships; makes recommendations for improvements; and develops best practices for accommodations management and coordination with disability and leave operations.
+ Serves as an accommodation subject matter expert responsible for the training on accommodation processes and requirements; leads training initiatives for colleagues, supervisors/managers/support personnel and clients as needed.
+ Leads projects focused on large process, procedural and/or compliance changes/updates; communicates changes/updates to applicable lines of business, IT, client services, and other applicable lines of business and support teams.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Supports the organization's accommodations line of business.
+ Travels and works on-site as required; works flexibly as required.
+ Supports the organization’s global strategies for leave, disability and accommodations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of accommodations management or similar employee relations, claims management, or managed care experience, project/change management experience, and training experience or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience (required to include at least two (2) years of project/change management/implementation experience).
Skills & Knowledge
+ In depth knowledge of employment accommodation-related laws, claims management, managed care and/or absence management processes and procedures
+ Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
+ PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
+ Analytical, critical thinking, and interpretive skills
+ Ability and acumen to operationalize the law
+ Strong organizational skills
+ Excellent interpersonal skills
+ Excellent negotiation skills
+ Ability to work in a team environment
+ Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
