    Join Our Team as a Warehouse Supervisor!

     

    Are you a motivated leader with a passion for optimizing warehouse operations? We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the daily activities of our warehouse, shipping, receiving, and inventory management functions. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality while promoting positive employee relations within the warehouse team.

    What You’ll Do:

    + **Supervise Daily Operations:** Oversee all warehouse activities, including labor scheduling, storing, shipping, space management, cycle counting, and housekeeping, ensuring a high degree of efficiency.

    + **Lead with Safety and Quality:** Provide key leadership in safety, quality, and cost reduction initiatives while consistently enforcing plant rules and holding team members accountable for their responsibilities.

    + **Manage Warehouse Personnel:** Directly supervise hourly warehouse employees, addressing material management, equipment issues, truck loading, truck traffic, and housekeeping. Lead shift safety meetings to ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and health policies.

    + **Performance Management:** Communicate and document employee expectations, assess performance, provide coaching and development opportunities, and administer disciplinary actions when necessary. Assist in the evaluation and selection process for hiring hourly employees.

    + **Training Oversight:** Ensure warehouse employees receive adequate training before operating forklifts and other motorized equipment, following standard operating procedures and work instructions.

    + **Inventory Management:** Manage and perform physical inventories (annual and end-of-month) and cycle count activities for all raw material inventory, ensuring accurate shipping documents and adherence to first-in, first-out (FIFO) practices.

    + **Communication:** Maintain solid communication between truck drivers and warehouse employees at all times to ensure smooth operations.

    + **Root-Cause Analysis:** Assist in performing root-cause analysis and implementing sustainable countermeasures for losses related to warehouse activities.

    + **Maintain Organization:** Ensure workplace organization and good housekeeping (5S) by holding employees accountable for their assigned work areas and maintaining operational lighting infrastructure for efficiency and safety.

    + **Audit Compliance:** Ensure compliance with raw material and finished goods inventory audits and participate in continuous improvement projects and plant improvement programs (5S, TPM, etc.).

    + **Cost Reduction Reporting:** Organize and report cost reduction initiatives as they occur, monitoring the accuracy of materials shipped and received.

    + **Timekeeping Management:** Review and approve employee time in the UKG timekeeping system, ensuring accurate payment in accordance with site pay policies and procedures or collective bargaining agreements.

    + **Additional Duties:** Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.\#LI-ME1-

    + **Education:** -Bachelor’s Degree (equivalent experience may be considered).

    + **Experience:** -5-7 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

    + **Technical Skills:** -SAP experience is required; familiarity with ISO methodology (ISO 9001, 14001, & OHSAS 18001) is preferred.

    + **Lean Manufacturing Knowledge:** -Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, and Six Sigma is a plus.

    + **Communication Skills:** -Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively lead and engage with the team.

    + **Technical Proficiency:** -Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with UKG and SAP systems is beneficial.

    + **Analytical Skills:** -Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solutions for operational challenges.
