    Department Summary

    Exciting opportunity to provide new models of care for walk-in/urgent care access including days, evenings, and weekends. The CHA CBHC Malden Urgent Care program provides behavioral health evaluation, resource referral, and initial treatment services for individuals of all ages.

    Summary

    Provides oversight of all clinical care provided by the CBHC Urgent Care/Access Service program. Carries administrative responsibility for leadership, management, budget, and interface with other emergency service, urgent care and ambulatory programs and teams. Collaborates on hiring and budget planning with CBHC Urgent Care/Access Service leadership. Responsible for the assessment and disposition of patients providing a range of brief evidence based interventions. Works autonomously and provides both administrative and clinical supervision to a multidisciplinary staff including trainees.

    Qualifications:

    + Education/Training: Masters degree or doctorate in mental health field.

    + Licensure: Current appropriate clinical licensure. Current MA licensure as an Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker(LICSW)

    + Certifications: Must be credentialed by the CHA Medical Staff for practice in all relevant clinical practice areas, such as individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy.

    + Work Experience: Minimum of three years post masters degree experience in mental health and addictions setting, including clinical and administrative leadership duties with relevant patient populations.

    + Mental/Cognitive abilities: Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.

    + Facility with a computer to use for documentation and obtaining reports.

    + Ability to oversee the cost center.

    + Ability to build a positive working environment despite multiple work pressures.
