Job Title: Chemical Operator
Job Description
As a Chemical Operator, you will perform manufacturing operations in a GMP environment, operating equipment and processing areas to produce APIs, finished products, and intermediates. You will adhere to pre-approved batch records, company policies, and standard operating procedures. Your role includes assuring that all production batch records are completed and signed timely, following operating instructions, and maintaining accurate records. You will conduct all manufacturing operations in compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety, and GMP guidelines, ensuring timely completion to maintain the production schedule.
The shift is 1pm-9pm, Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities
+ Operate manufacturing equipment and processing areas in a GMP environment.
+ Adhere to pre-approved batch records, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
+ Complete and sign all production batch records in a timely manner.
+ Follow operating instructions and maintain accurate records.
+ Conduct all manufacturing operations according to Environmental, Health, Safety, and GMP guidelines.
+ Perform work in a timely manner to maintain the production schedule.
+ Understand and follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
+ Ensure proper disposal of waste, cleanliness of facility and equipment, and maintenance of appropriate records.
+ Perform minor maintenance activities.
Essential Skills
+ Experience working in a GMP environment.
+ Knowledge of Environmental, Health, Safety (EHS) guidelines.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
+ Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and procedures.
+ Capability to identify and record variances to standards and report findings.
+ Competence in using testing equipment safely and efficiently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, including the ability to maintain an accurate scientific notebook.
+ Experience with chemical processes and chemistry.
Work Environment
The position is within a CDMO that performs pre-clinical production for pharmaceutical products. The work environment resembles a small pilot plant production area with two reactors of 80L and 30L capacity. The setting is an aseptic environment, and work is conducted in a laboratory setting. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain more experience within a smaller company, with exposure to various secondary and tertiary duties.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
