    Siemens Digital Industries is looking for a dynamic Finance Operational controller to drive the acceleration of the DI Operational and Business Analytics Finance Team

     

    This is a key role in driving digitalization of our own processes, new business models and solutions that support strong relationships with our customers. The ideal person for this Finance Operational Controller position will work collaboratively alongside the operational, technical and sales partners.

     

    **Overview of the position** :

    A Finance Operations Controller is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing the financial performance of business operations. This professional ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while providing strategic insights to improve operational efficiency and decision-making processes. This position is a hybrid or remote opportunity depending on the candidate’s background. Remote eligibility applies to current Siemens employees or individuals with a demonstrated history of success in remote work environments.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Operational Finance & Planning

    • Provide strategic finance support for DI LCB US by leveraging performance insights and leading P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis, ensuring financial accuracy, effective risk management, and operational excellence.

    • Drive complex analysis on business performance, and support in-depth structure changes, reflecting the necessary business lines reporting model

    • Prepares monthly and quarterly journal entries, supports monthly rolling forecast and annual budget consolidation processes for DI LCB USA.

    • Support Financial planning and forecasting processes for DI LCB USA portfolio.

    Cost Control & Margin Improvement

    • Support product cost transfers, services agreements analysis and evaluates cost structure frequently to support our costing and profitability strategies

    • Develop and maintain tools to track COGS and operational costs, while monitoring product mix, pricing, and promotional impact on margins in collaboration with Sales and Portfolio teams.

    Operational Reporting & Analytics

    • Develop financial bridges, identifying key elements that influence business profitability.

    • Work actively on ad hoc reporting and customized analysis, supporting senior management.

    • Identify opportunities to improve profit margins, business processes and financial improvements.

    • Standardize cost operations reporting across margin mix, productivity, and controllable expenses, while supporting monthly close with accurate financial insights and reconciliations

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Support and collaborate with DI Sales FIN and DI Performance Controlling team for key strategies, growth and financial improvement projects.

    • Encourage/Drive cross collaboration and communication between all stakeholders

    Basic Qualifications:

    • BS in Accounting or Finance

    • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in financial planning & analysis or related function.

    • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship now or in the future.

    • Ability to travel occasionally (less than 20%).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with ERP system-SAP Analytics Cloud and BI tools (Tableau, Knime, etc.)

    • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to critically assess data and solve complex problems.

    • Effective team communication, fostering collaboration, trust, and active engagement.

    • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

    • Detail-oriented and process-driven, ensuring accuracy in financial reports and models.

    • Resilient and adaptable, maintaining focus and composure in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
