    Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Laboratory Technician to perform physical testing and stability analysis of various product samples. This role involves measuring parameters such as water content, viscosity, pH, specific gravity, and density, while ensuring all work adheres to GMP standards and internal quality procedures.

     

    Located in Los Angeles, CA

    Contract to hire

    **Pay:** $21-25/hour

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Perform physical testing on in-process, bulk, stability, and finished product samples (e.g., water content by KF titration, water activity, melting point, viscosity, pH, specific gravity, density).

    + Set up and coordinate stability studies under the direction of a Chemist.

    + Prepare, standardize, and document volumetric solutions.

    + Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments as needed.

    + Maintain accurate records, retain samples, and ensure proper labeling and documentation in compliance with GMP and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA).

    + Follow all laboratory safety procedures, including the proper disposal of hazardous waste.

    + Maintain a clean and organized work environment and perform additional duties as assigned to support team and company goals.

    Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or associate degree in a scientific discipline required.

    + Minimum 2 years of experience in a cosmetics, personal care, or related laboratory environment.

    + Hands-on experience with physical property testing (e.g., pH, viscosity, specific gravity).

    + Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

    + Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while meeting strict deadlines.

    + Detail-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to quality and safety.
