A Postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Experimental Therapeutics, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, United States. This position reports to Dr. Sara Zanivan, Associate Professor in the Department of Experimental Therapeutics and Scientific Director of the Proteomics Core.
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to investigate how metabolic regulation shape the immune microenvironment in ovarian cancer. The project will focus on the metabolic mechanisms by which cancer associated fibroblasts modulate immune responses using advanced models and technologies, including cutting-edge mass spectrometry-based proteomics. The Postdoctoral Fellow will be responsible for designing and conducting experiments, analyzing data, preparing manuscripts, and actively participating in lab meetings, journal clubs, and seminars.
*LEARNING OBJECTIVES*
The Postdoctoral Fellow's primary research focus is to help the PI merge mechanistic insights with the translational objectives of experimental therapeutics and to address unmet clinical needs in ovarian cancer. The Postdoctoral Fellow will train, learn and study design, data analysis and manuscript writing.
*ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS*
Candidates must hold a PhD in cancer biology, metabolism, or a related field, with less than two years of postdoctoral experience. A proven track record of publications in cell metabolism is required. Experience in cancer metabolism and rodent studies is preferred. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
