    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This position performs major and minor repairs/service work to Menards Fleet, consisting of forklifts, cars/trucks, trailers, etc.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Inspect fleet equipment to locate and determine the extent of necessary repair

    + Repair, replace, and adjust necessary units and related parts

    + Perform maintenance work to DOT standards for over the road equipment

    + Perform general overhaul and repair work on gasoline, diesel, propane and battery powered engines/equipment

    + General repair, welding, and fabrication of fleet units

    + Perform preventative maintenance work on vehicles including lubrication, oil changes, and annual inspections

    + Clean and maintain the work area and equipment

    + Maintain records on all maintenance and repair work performed

    Skills/Requirements

    + Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

    + Ability to locate and resolve problems in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

    + Knowledge of standard practices, equipment, and tools of the fleet equipment trade

    + Knowledge of forklift and automobile mechanical and electrical systems

    + Ability to lift 75+lbs

    + Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions

    + Basic welding and maintenance experience
