    Job Title: Assembler

    Job Description

    As an assembler, you will play a crucial role in the production of windows and doors, handling various assembly tasks from start to finish. You will ensure that each phase of the assembly process meets quality standards and assist your team by advising on shortages and quality issues. You will read and follow production lists, identify proper materials, and adhere to standard work, control plans, and written instructions.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform assembly of windows and doors from start to finish.

    + Advise team members on shortages and quality issues.

    + Inspect each phase of assembly to ensure quality standards are met.

    + Read and follow production lists accurately.

    + Identify and use proper materials.

    + Follow standard work, control plans, and written work instructions.

    + Utilize tools such as drills, screw guns, nail/staple guns, chop saws, routers, and sanders.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in assembly and production processes.

    + Experience with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical assembly.

    + Ability to read blueprints.

    + Capability to lift 50+ lbs.

    + Basic reading and math skills.

    + Ability to read a tape measure.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Graduate, GED, or HSED required.

    Work Environment

     

    You will be working in a facility that operates on a 4/10 schedule, Monday to Thursday, with a possibility of work on Fridays. The first shift runs from 5am to 3:30pm and the second shift from 3:30pm to 2am. The facility is not air-conditioned, so the dress code is flexible, allowing shorts and t-shirts, but steel-toed shoes are required. Hair must be secured if long. The work environment promotes comfort and practicality, with two twelve-minute breaks and a thirty-minute lunch break.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dubuque, Iowa.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.20 - $22.20/hr.
