Intuit QuickBooks is leading the charge in revolutionizing financial services for small businesses with its groundbreaking money movement platform. As part of our commitment to manage risk across all fintech products, we are expanding our Fraud Policy team, which utilizes cutting-edge AI technology to detect and prevent fraud while minimizing impact on good customers. We’re looking for a Staff Fraud & Risk Analyst to join the team. This role will focus on the risk platform, converting our high growth policies into a reality. You will partner closely across many sectors of the organization to make this happen; product, strategy, engineering, operations and underwriting. Each policy you implement directly affects the touchpoints with our customers to continue offering a highly sought after product on our platform. What you'll bring
+ MS/PhD in related fields such as Engineering, Computer Science, Industry Engineering, Statistics, Operational Research, etc., with 5+ years of work experience, or a bachelor's degree in the same fields with 8+ years of equivalent practical experience.
+ Rich experience in Java/SQL/Python specifically on your current role
+ Knowledge of Splunk for debugging applications
+ Familiarity with engineering fundamentals, including version control systems (i.e., Git, Github) and workflows, with the ability to write production-ready code.
+ Experience in the fraud domain with emphasis on payments/e-commerce
+ Excellent communication skills and ability to learn quickly, with confidence in taking ownership.
+ Able to lead a project, independently and with quick decision making
+ Problem solver, able to take a problem and get to its core and then propose relevant solutions
+ Proactive, having a can do approach
+ Team player with great interpersonal skills
+ Track record of related work experience in data exploration and data pipeline development under defined business scope and large-scale transactional datasets.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
+ Experience or knowledge of decision platforms such as Camunda, Provenir, FICO Blaze, Powercurve, SAS RTDM, Zoot, Drools, OpenCPU is an advantage
+ Experience with data viz tools like Tableau/Looker a plus
How you will lead
+ Partner with our fraud strategists to design risk experience, develop automation driven fraud risk policies
+ Responsible for implementation and execution of fraud strategies and leading high scale risk projects that include tight collaboration with global teams (Product, Engineering, Analytics)
+ Own policy code pipeline and releases end to end with hands-on decision-engine coding: implement decision tables/flows, write automated tests, run regressions/canaries, and monitor quality controls.
+ Coordinate cross-functional delivery with strategy, engineering, data science, data engineering, product, and underwriting—clarify scope, sequence work, surface risks, and keep execution on track.
+ Responsible for constant optimization while getting sound decisions that balance risk, speed, experimentation, and financial performance
+ Go-to person for anything and everything regarding understanding the fraud controls and how they impact our customers ability to run their business
+ Lead the development and management of the enterprise risk platform in partnership with product, developer, business analyst, and data teams to understand, solve, and anticipate their needs, understand requirements, and source data systems and data structure
+ Stay current on techniques and platform capabilities and propose improvements that increase deployment speed, safety, and reliability (e.g., tooling, automation, playbooks).
+ Contribute to data architecture and features: define data contracts, design/implement features and pipelines (SQL/Spark/Hive), and ensure lineage and freshness.
