Job Summary
The Education Professional I is responsible for designing, delivering, and assessing educational programs and curricula within an academic or training environment. This role involves applying academic, instructive, and pedagogical principles and best practices to enhance student learning and development. The Education Professional I may work in various settings, including schools, colleges, institutes, training centers, and other educational organizations. They collaborate with educators, administrators, and a variety of assorted personnel in an attempt to ensure the delivery of high-quality education and support the achievement of learning outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and implement educational programs, lesson plans, and curricula aligned with agency goals and standards. Develop techniques for delivering engaging and effective instruction to students, using a variety of teaching methods and materials. Assess student learning and progress through formative and summative evaluations. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and program activities. Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and a variety of assorted personnel in an attempt to improve educational practices and outcomes. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education. Cultivate a learning environment that supports student engagement and success. Use educational technology and tools to enhance instruction and learning experiences. Advocate for policies and initiatives that support the advancement of education.
Knowledge and Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Empathy and patience in working with students and colleagues. Proficiency in using instructional design and assessment tools.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education, a specific subject area, or a related field.
Comprehensive knowledge of educational principles, practices, and curriculum development.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Experience in using educational technology and digital tools.
Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to education.
Certification in teaching or educational administration preferred.
Ability to work effectively with educators and a variety of assorted personnel.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in education.
