This role is responsible for the full lifecycle management, customization, and support of business processes within the PMIS System (Project Management Information System). The primary goal is to standardize and optimize workflows to meet the needs of the organization, clients, and project teams.
* Process Analysis and Modeling: Conduct basic business analysis by gathering and documenting requirements and procedures related to the PMIS System. Design and build workflow diagrams using tools like Microsoft Visio to graphically represent and optimize business processes.
* System Configuration and Customization: Set up, modify, and customize the PMIS System to align with specific project needs, change approvals, and organizational procedures. Maintain and manage essential templates (for budgets, schedules, and documents) and support ongoing account configuration changes.
* Implementation and Integration Support: Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for major system changes, including new workflows and migrations. Provide technical assistance for the ERP integration and support system-related problem resolution.
* User Training and Documentation: Develop comprehensive training documents, instruction manuals, and "how-to" guides. Conduct both onboarding training for new users and specialized sessions to train project teams and system administrators on new processes.
* System Maintenance and Reporting: Provide Level 2 technical support for PMIS functionality and troubleshooting. Manage the creation and maintenance of new reports by overseeing report and folder subscriptions to ensure data is accessible and aligned with developed processes.
* Standardization and Project Support: Actively maintain and create administrative processes to ensure system standardization. Generally act as a supportive resource for more experienced analysts, working on projects of lower complexity or assisting senior staff on high-complexity initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
+ Supports requirements gathering and configuration work sessions by documenting results regarding project requirements and procedures as related to their application and use within project management tools.
+ Drafts project procedures based on those requirements, contractual documents, and input from project team
+ Builds workflow diagrams to graphically represent business processes and procedures.
+ Develops supporting training documents for system administrators and project personnel with guidance from Senior Business Analyst. Supports training to project team members and system administrators.
+ May act in system administrator role on projects of low to moderate complexity.
+ Supports more experienced Business Analysts in all functions and responsibilities.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Information Technology or Business and 2 years related experience, or
+ In lieu of education, 6 years IT business process analysis, quality management system development, and/or project controls experience
What We Prefer:
+ Experience as a System Administrator, Configuration Specialist, or Super User of Trimble Unity Construct (or its predecessor, e-Builder) or similar enterprise-level PMIS software.
+ Project Controls experience working as a client's PM/CM agent (e.g., providing program management/construction management services),
+ or as part of a design-build contractor (or equivalent design and construction experience)
+ Project Controls experience in two or more phases of the project lifecycle (e.g., predesign, design, procurement, construction, and post-construction phases)
+ Excellent knowledge of the construction industry, including methodology, terminology, workflow/paper flow of design and construction activities, as well as demonstrated understanding of contract documents, specifications, and requirements.
+ Excellent organizational skills to prioritize multiple tasks, develop, analyze, and/or revise procedures, meet deadlines, and work in an environment of heavy pressure and changing priorities.
