    Position: Senior Accountant

    JOB SUMMARY

    Responsible for performing a wide range of accounting duties including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    + Perform monthly bank account reconciliation, verify deposits, and handle bank inquiries. Reconcile cash disbursements, payroll, customer accounts, and general ledger accounts.

    + Assist accounts receivables, collaborate to resolve billing or other related issues, implement collection strategies, reconcile accounts, and extract / analyze aging report.

    + Assist Accounts Payables with invoices, payments, vendor communication, and compliance. Oversee purchasing, invoicing, analyze aging report, and ensure smooth operations and vendor relationships.

    + Support outside audits by providing accurate financial documents, explaining company processes, and acting as a liaison between auditors and departments for information gathering.

    + Performs other related duties as assigned.

     

    Transaction recording and verification: Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of all accounting transactions, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.

     

    Account reconciliation: Reconciling bank statements and ensuring the accuracy of all accounts.

     

    Costing: Evaluate and analyze costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and cost control methods.

     

    CAPEX: Analyze capital expenditures to ensure efficient allocation of resources.

    REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

    + Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

    + At least five years of related experience.

    + Effective verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills.

    + Strong analytical, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

    + Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.

    + Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.

    + Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting

    + Proficiency in accounting software and data analysis tools

    + Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

    + Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, preferred

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. Office and travel have moderate noise levels. Machine/Product demonstrations and customer visits can have loud noise levels.

     

    Noise levels may be extreme and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and usage is driven by customer requirements. Other required PPE includes, but is not limited to, steel toe boots, hardhat and safety glasses. Customer working environments can be extreme in regards to height, confined space, physical requirements and hazards.
