Join the MathWorks Finance team and develop a comprehensive understanding of the procure-to-pay process at a leading high-tech company.
In this role you will deepen your finance knowledge and your exposure to technology and systems, tax, project management, metrics, analysis / negotiation and contract management. Responsibilities
+ Support US indirect sourcing and procurement, with a focus on technology hardware and software and professional services
+ Partnering with stakeholders, develop a solid working knowledge of the products and services being purchased and ensure key business terms are properly reflected in contracts
+ Lead supplier negotiations, working to ensure the proper value proposition is obtained with each contract
+ Serve as the key liaison between Legal, stakeholders and suppliers to ensure contracts are finalized timely and accurately
+ Prepare and monitor metrics to drive process improvement and track performance relative to procurement KPI's
+ Leverage technology to efficiently create, fulfill and close purchase orders, while ensuring that key accounting and tax details are captured for downstream reporting and payment activities
+ Partnering with other members of the Finance team, maintain key supplier and contract data and work to resolve discrepancies
Qualifications
+ A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
+ Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction.
+ Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
Additional Qualifications
+ BS required with an accounting, finance, or business concentration
+ At least 3 years' experience in a Procurement role, preferably sourcing technology
+ Must be authorized to work in the United States (visa sponsorship not available)
+ Strong financial analysis skills
+ Excellent problem solving, customer service and organizational skills
+ Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
+ Experience reviewing supplier contracts and negotiating business terms
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Experience with Oracle Procurement is a plus
