Provides technical and set up support plastic injection molding operations.
+ Perform tool change-overs when jobs are completed.
+ Cleans machines prior to production run start-up and at the end of production runs.
+ Analyzes and troubleshoots machinery, making the necessary process adjustments to consistently produce parts that meet the company’s quality standards.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives through LEAN and HPT.
+ Answer machine alarms in a timely and effective manner. Maintain logbooks and update set up sheets as required.
+ Monitor assigned production area to ensure effective and efficient operations thereby facilitating continuous improvement. Includes, but not limited to:
+ Performing machine by machine audits to insure standard operating procedures are being followed.
+ Support and reinforcement of plant-wide improvement initiatives.
+ Gathering and monitoring and publishing quality control, downtime and production efficiency in an accurate and timely way.
+ Ensuring the timely maintenance of production and machine logbooks.
+ Troubleshoot quality problems such as splay, flash, heat sinks, short shots.
+ Assist with housekeeping and maintaining safety standards.
+ Other duties and projects as required.
+ US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident Status required.
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
+ 2-4 years of processing and/or mold set up in the plastic injection molding industry required.
+ Effective problem solving skills.
+ Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently.
This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.
Competitive Compensation
+ Pay Range: $23/hr to $35/hr
+ Participation in Annual Incentive Program
