Provides inspection support and related services to the Quality Assurance Department, Huntsville plant, and division. Maintains records, files, and reports as required.
+ Inspect and verify product conformance against acceptance criteria for internal and supplied products per Parker IPD specifications (dimensional and cosmetic).
+ Use of all inspection tools (hard gaging, electronic gaging, automated inspection).
+ Assist in Gage Room duties (pull gages for calibration, check-in/out gages, organize gages) excluding actual calibration.
+ Complete QCI orders as stated within the set of instructions.
+ Complete reports and documents based on order requirements and work instructions.
+ Perform first article inspections for supplied product and document as required.
+ Positive material identification with the XRF Analyzer (radiation safety – wearing dosimetry ring when using)
+ Participate in the Quality HPT.
+ All other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.
Education, Credentials and Previous Experience:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
Technical Depth and Breadth:
+ Basic knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access ) and other business applications (MSS, SAP, Omnex, Enovia, Adobe ).
+ Ability to understand basic blueprint, MS, and ES reading.
+ Working knowledge of basic shop tools and gages used for verification of products
Problem Solving and Analytical Skills :
+ Perform tasks with little supervision
+ Able to effectively work on and manage multiple tasks daily, communicate professionally with co-workers, show flexibility to learn multiple jobs within the department, and show aptitude to perform essential job functions listed above.
+ Actively participate in improvement activities, Lean projects

Physical Demands:
With or without reasonable accommodation:
+ Required to meet the minimum vision requirements for dimensional inspection.
+ Jaeger Type #2 at a distance of 14 inches
+ If correction is required to meet the minimum requirements, the employee shall wear corrective lenses when performing the inspection activities.
+ Average or normal response when tested with Ishihara or Pseudo-Isochromatic plate.
+ Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time.
+ Required to work around manufacturing operations with exposure to noise, fumes, heavy machinery and other shop-related hazards.
+ Frequent lifting or moving of lightweight (<26 lbs.) material.
+ Good hand/eye coordination
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
+ Use of Personal Protective Equipment as required, may include safety glasses, safety shoes , hearing protection , and/or any other equipment deemed necessary.
