This position will work as member of the Applications Engineering department. As a member of the Application Engineering team, this role is responsible for conducting various test plans and support work across Parker Chomeric’s various polymeric and elastomeric product lines, interpreting test results, and creating summary reports for internal and external distribution.
+ Work is primarily independent, but under the supervision and guidance of other members of the Applications Engineering team. The work includes project planning, sample preparation, test set up, testing, and reporting. Testing is focused on characterizing product performance across a wide variety of non-standard applications. On-site training is available for all test equipment, but familiarity with basic material testing is required; Instron testing, thermal conductivity, specific gravity, etc.
+ Prepare Test Plans and Test Reports. All plans and reports shall be prepared in Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. All plans and reports shall be written precisely and accurately for internal and external use.
+ Support and execute internal and external testing requests submitted to the Applications Lab.
+ High School diploma or GED required.
+ Associates degree preferred.
+ 1-3 years of experience working with material testing equipment required. On-site training is available for the specific equipment to be used.\
+ US Citizen or US Permanent Resident status required.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, work instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and test specifications. Ability to write routine plans and reports and general correspondences. Ability to communicate in English with other team members and departments.
Other skills:
Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
Ability to analyze and interpret data with calculations such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Competitive Compensation
+ Pay Range: $21.69/hr to $36.15/hr
+ Participation in Annual Incentive Program
