Apprenticeship Lab Assistant

Status: Part-time

Hours: Monday – Friday; various times

Pay/Salary: $17.00 –$19.00 /Hour

Summary

The Apprenticeship Lab Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Electrical, Plumbing, and HVACR Apprenticeship programs by assisting instructors in preparing, organizing, and maintaining a safe and effective lab environment. This position is hands-on and collaborative, enabling you to directly contribute to student success while maintaining a smoothly and efficiently running lab.

What You'll Do:

Responsibilities of the Apprenticeship Lab Assistant include, but are not limited to:

+ Collaborating with Electrical, Plumbing, and HVACR instructors to prepare the lab for instruction and student projects.

+ Helping build and maintain trainers and equipment.

+ Organizing the lab after instruction has concluded.

+ Ordering and restocking lab supplies as needed.

+ Supporting instructors and students with additional lab-related tasks as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

+ Education Requirements: A high school diploma or the equivalent.

+ Experience: Previous experience working with hand tools, power tools, or in a technical/trades-related environment preferred.

+ Organizational Abilities: Strong skills in time management, multitasking, and organization to efficiently handle multiple responsibilities.

+ Attention to Detail: Sharp problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and effectiveness in daily tasks.
