**Job Title:** Gastroenterologist – Weekend Advanced Endoscopy Coverage

**Location:** Tufts Medical Center, Boston, MA

**Position Type:** Per Diem / Part-Time (Weekend Call Coverage)

Overview

Tufts Medical Center’s Division of Gastroenterology is seeking a board-certified gastroenterologist with advanced endoscopy training to provide **weekend coverage for urgent cases** . The role includes performing ERCP, EUS, colonic stenting, and other advanced interventions for both inpatients and round-trip patients. **A gastroenterology fellow will be available to assist throughout the weekend.**

Key Responsibilities

+ Provide advanced endoscopy coverage from **Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM** .

+ Perform urgent advanced endoscopy procedures (ERCP, EUS, colonic stenting, and others).

+ Collaborate with hospitalist, ICU, and surgical teams in the multidisciplinary management of complex patients.

+ Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with hospital and departmental standards.

+ Communicate effectively with referring providers to ensure safe and coordinated patient care.

Qualifications

+ MD or DO degree with board certification in Gastroenterology.

+ Completion of an **Advanced Endoscopy fellowship** .

+ Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts.

+ Strong clinical acumen, procedural expertise, and a collaborative team-based approach to care.

Schedule & Compensation

+ Weekend call coverage: **Friday 5 PM – Monday 7 AM** .

+ Competitive per diem compensation
