Position Summary
The Senior Income Tax Analyst is responsible for executing key tax functions, including federal and state compliance, ASC 740 tax provision, and indirect tax reporting. This role offers broad exposure across corporate tax and requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll help build efficient tax processes, ensure accurate reporting, and support audits and regulatory requirements in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
+ Prepare and review federal and state corporate income tax returns, extensions, and estimated payments.
+ Support quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provision calculations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and disclosures.
+ Manage indirect tax compliance (sales & use, property, VAT), including filings, audits, and exemption tracking.
+ Maintain and update tax depreciation schedules and perform state apportionment and nexus analyses.
+ Conduct research on federal, state, and local tax laws; monitor legislative changes and assess impact.
+ Coordinate with external providers and internal teams on tax filings, audits, and notices.
+ Assist with internal and external audit requests and documentation.
+ Ensure accuracy of tax-related general ledger accounts and financial statement reporting.
+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability of tax operations.
+ Maintain organized and up-to-date records of tax filings, workpapers, and supporting documentation.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
+ 3 – 5 years of experience in income tax, either in public accounting or in-house corporate tax department.
+ Strong knowledge of federal, state and local tax laws and regulations.
+ Familiarity with income tax provisions (ASC 740) and tax compliance processes is an advantage.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Capacity to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
+ Active CPA license
+ Experience with indirect tax compliance and research.
+ Familiarity with fixed asset systems.
+ Exposure to SOX controls and public company reporting requirements.
+ Experience in the Life Sciences or similar regulated industry.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting.
+ Experience with tax software (e.g., OneSource Tax Provision, OneSource Income Tax).
+ Familiarity with fixed asset systems (e.g., Sage Fixed Assets).
+ Experience in a publicly traded company or with SEC reporting requirements.
+ Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls related to tax.
+ Exposure to international tax concepts or VAT compliance.
+ Experience in the Life Sciences, Technology.
+ Strong project management skills and experience leading process improvement initiatives.
+ Ability to interpret and apply complex tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
Physical Demands
+ Must possess ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
+ Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
+ The majority of work is performed in a desk/cubicle environment.
Training
+ All job specific, safety, and compliance training are assigned based on the job functions associated with this employee.

+ Willingness to work shift work and overtime.
+ Job may require occasional weekends, evenings, and/or holidays.
