Advertising/Posting Title Phone and Email Assistant
Posting Summary
Answer incoming phone calls and e-mail correspondence for the Admissions Office. Provide clear, accurate information about all aspects of UVM’s undergraduate programs and activities. Perform related data entry with supervision from designated supervisor. Make campus visit reservations. Respond directly to standard inquiries; work with team members to compose such responses and route more complex questions to a counselor or appropriate University office. Serve as back-up for mail room coordinator. Conduct informational sessions for and communicate regularly with prospective students and parents. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Associate’s degree and one to three years of related experience required. Working knowledge of software applications used to support office functions, and familiarity with Internet resources required. Effective communication skill, both oral and written, required. Effective organizational skills required.
Desirable Qualifications
Anticipated Pay Range $21.66-$23.57 per hour
Other Information
Special Conditions Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
