Posting Summary
Provide technical and administrative guidance and perform data management functions in support of University research projects in the Department of Emergency Medicine to include patient screening, enrollment, follow-up, teaching and mentoring, data extraction and analysis. Implement and coordinate SAMHSA funded Start Treatment and Recovery ( STAR ) program. The STAR program consists of assisting patients in the Emergency Department suffering from Opioid Use Disorder ( OUD ) access and receive treatment. Oversee the day-to-day study operations, enrollment, data collection, outreach and project initiation. Research Clinical Coordinators are study champions, working with Emergency Department providers and other stake holders to ensure the process is utilized.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree with two – three years of related experience to include experience in a research environment required. Working knowledge of software applications used to support area operations required. Effective communication and interpersonal skills required. Attention to detail and discretion with confidential information required.
Desirable Qualifications
Clinical background including EMS certification ( EMT , AEMT or Paramedic).
Experience with RedCap, Microsoft Office (Excel), SPSS , STATA .
Anticipated Pay Range $23.00-$25.00/hour
Other Information
Non-standard work hours required:
This position is first shift four days per week and will work one second shift through 9pm with a shift differential; and at least one on-call weekend per month.
Special Conditions Contingent on continued funding, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Non-standard work hours required, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Bargaining unit position, Background Check required for this position, A probationary period may be required, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), 2nd Shift (Shift differential applies.)
