    Our client has partnered with Robert Half in their search for a Junior Accountant! This light-level position is ideal for candidates who have recently completed an accounting internship or have a year+ in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of basic accounting principles, especially a solid understanding of debits and credits and experience with preparing journal entries and reconciliations.

     

    You’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day accounting operations and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on time.

    + Help process accounts payable and receivable transactions as needed.

    + Support bank and account reconciliations.

    + Assist with ad-hoc accounting projects.

    + Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.

    + Work closely with other team members to maintain accurate and organized financial records.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field (or strong internship experience will be considered)

    • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and maintaining general ledger accounts.

    • Strong understanding of debits, credits, and their application in financial transactions.

    • Experience with account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.

    • Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team environment.

    • Strong communication skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
