Senior Business Analyst

Our client in Madison, WI is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their team. This role will focus on projects related to actuarial insurance pricing, rating tools, and policy administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong blend of business and technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and deep familiarity with the insurance industry.

Responsibilities:

+ Partner with business and IT stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for actuarial insurance pricing and rating tool projects.

+ Collaborate closely with business leadership in the insurance industry to define project goals and deliverables.

+ Develop business and functional requirements, process flows, and user stories.

+ Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.

+ Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement within the team.

+ Support testing, validation, and implementation of system enhancements.

Requirements

Requirements:

+ 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner working on actuarial insurance pricing or rating tool projects.

+ Proven ability to communicate effectively with business leadership and cross-functional teams within the insurance industry.

+ Strong understanding of insurance policy forms, letters, and related production processes.

+ Demonstrated experience leading both IT and business-driven projects — candidates must show a mix of both on their resume.

+ Proven experience with Agile methodologies.

+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; resumes must be well-written and error-free.

+ Insurance industry experience strongly preferred.
