Are you a seasoned Tax Manager seeking an opportunity to make an immediate impact while enjoying a contract or contract-to-hire arrangement? Our client is seeking a highly skilled professional to oversee tax compliance and planning, manage team operations, and provide strategic advice in an ever-evolving regulatory landscape.

The ideal candidate brings expertise in technical accounting, financial reporting, and compliance management to help optimize tax strategies and ensure adherence to federal, state, and international regulations. Whether you're available for a short-term contract or interested in a potential long-term fit, this position offers the opportunity to collaborate on key business initiatives and provide leadership in complex tax-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Lead and oversee tax compliance processes, including preparing and reviewing federal, state, and local tax filings

+ Develop and implement effective tax strategies to mitigate risks and optimize savings.

+ Stay current with evolving tax regulations and communicate their impact to the leadership team

+ Collaborate closely with the finance and accounting departments to ensure accurate reporting and compliance alignment.

+ Manage communication with external auditors, tax consultants, and authorities during compliance reviews.

+ Train and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and performance excellence.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).

+ Minimum 5–7 years of experience in tax management or a senior tax role.

+ Strong knowledge of federal, state, and international tax regulations.

+ Proficiency in tax reporting software and automation tools for enhanced efficiency (Source: DFST2025).

+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and oversee strategic business initiatives.

+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
