    Description

    Robert Half Permanent Placement is partnering with a fantastic organization in Lancaster, NY on their search for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team. In this role you will be a critical resource for accurately processing vendor invoices to ensure timely and correct payments. This is an in-office position with a starting wage of $27 - $28 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    + Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts, verifying accuracy

    + Enter invoices into the accounting system and confirm open status

    + Match checks to invoices, confirming invoice number, amount, and vendor details

    + Resolve invoice discrepancies by working with Purchasing, Receiving, and other departments

    + Provide support for Accounts Payable functions, including credit memos, mail processing, copying, and assisting with special projects

    + Serve as backup to the Senior Accounting Clerk when needed

    Requirements

    + High School Diploma required; Associate Degree in Accounting is a big plus!

    + Minimum 2 years of Accounts Payable and general office experience; 3+ years of A/P experience preferred

    + Knowledge of business procedures and accounting principles; proficiency with PC, calculator, and Microsoft Excel
