    Shift: 8 hr., Day shift, Monday-Friday with on-call weekend rotation.

     

    The primary role of the Non-Invasive Cardiac Procedures Registered Nurse (RN) is to provide clinical services for patients being treated and/or evaluated for cardiac arrhythmias who are undergoing transesophageal echocardiograms, cardioversions, implant/explant of cardiac loop recorders, have cardiac implanted devices, external cardiac monitors and/or are undergoing stress testing. They provide this service in compliance with the policies, procedures and protocols of UnityPoint Health - Meriter and under the direction of a licensed physician who is a member of the Hospital Medical staff. Hospital and clinic protocols are developed in consultation and with the guidance of a general cardiologist, as well as a cardiologist who has received training in Electrophysiology.

    Education:

    + Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Will consider other nursing degrees on an individual basis.

    License/Certifications:

    + Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Wisconsin.

    + Basic Life Support (BLS)

    Experience:

    + One-year critical care and/or cardiology experience

    Other:

    + Core knowledge of clinical cardiology/electrophysiology

    + Basic rhythm interpretation skills

    + Basic computer skills

    + Excellent interpersonal skills

    + Alaris pump experience

    + Advanced rhythm interpretation

    + Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the positio
