The Azure Digital Operations org is building the next generation edge platform to solve the operational needs of customers in manufacturing and retail sector. We are looking for a Software Engineer to be part of the exciting new journey to redefine and help drive the future of Azure Digital Operations. You will be responsible for building highly available, resilient and efficient messaging services, data processing and AI frameworks, using latest technologies like WebAssembly (Wasm), that run on Kubernetes at the edge. Responsibilities
+ Work with stakeholders to understand the product landscape and requirements of features.
+ Design and develop scalable, reliable, and secure services optimized for Kubernetes at the edge.
+ Write code that is well structured, extensible, and maintainable. You will implement test automation to ensure robustness of the product.
+ Participate in code reviews to ensure coding standards are followed, and consider diagnosability, reliability, and maintainability when reviewing code, and understand when code is ready to be shared or delivered.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR equivalent experience.
Other Qualifications:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
+ Familiarity with distributed systems and micro-service development.
+ Familiarity with MQTT, AMQP protocols.
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Service Fabric.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.
