• Utility Operator Relief-Hourly

    Summary:

    The Utility Operator Relief Technician position has the responsibility for providing operational support within the mills within assigned roles. In addition, this role will provide relief to the plant crew when necessary and needed and will be responsible operating flour delivery systems to assist with the mixing of product according to standards and specifications, while maintaining quality and efficiency of all production processes.

    Primary Duties:

    Mill Support:

    + Assist the mill crew with mill start up.

    + Assist with operation problems, chokes, etc.

    + Provide support to Maintenance department and assist with mill repairs. If maintenance is not available immediately, this role may assist with the initial equipment investigation and repair.

    + Maintain general equipment in good working operation. This may include unloading .loading trucks and/or railcars, setting up equipment, measuring bins, etc.

    Blending Support:

    + Assist in the lining out equipment and optimizing transfer rates for flour delivery systems.

    + Ensure seal control for bulk loading.

    + Service flour delivery systems and minor PM maintenance as required.

    + Test and sample bulk and packed flour products to ensure the run is in specification. This includes overall responsibility for quality checks and COA creation and operating lab equipment to collect the required analysis for specific product.

    + Record required information into appropriate computer systems.

    + Operate flour delivery systems for both loading and unloading operations for truck and rail.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve all technical issues with all flour delivery equipment.

    + Inspect all of the bulk vessels and reject those vessels when needed due to concerns.

    Other Responsibilities:

    + Perform quality checks for foreign materials, magnet checks, etc.

    + May coordinate and communicate with mill internal and external vendors around downtime and shipment timing.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent

    + Strong problem solving abilities

    + Must be able to use, or learn to use the equipment and tools used to perform this job

    + Basic computer skills

    + Detail oriented

    + Proven written and verbal communication skills
