Position Overview
As a Business Report Developer II, you will design, develop implement, and troubleshoot applications and reporting based on user requirements from business partners across Merchandising, Planning, Allocations, Import Operations, and Purchase Order Operations. This role is responsible for a high level of accuracy, attention to detail,' and thorough documentation.
Able to support and enhance existing suite of Excel/Access/VBA applications. Able to identify areas of opportunity that can impact the business and/or improve efficiencies and effectively communicate benefits, risk, and effort to execute these opportunities. Responsible for continuous improvement and automation of the BRG artifacts and processes. Responsible for analyzing user requirements, understanding the existing application and technical landscape, and providing solutions which support business users and their objectives.
A Day In The Life
Support and enhance existing Excel/Access/VBA application that support various business groups.
Build applications to automate and improve business processes.
Deliver accurate estimates for size and level of effort required to complete projects that are presented to BRG for future development.
Seek ongoing opportunities to increase exposure to business processes and increase job knowledge to facilitate continuous improvement and increased business acumen.
Set a high standard of accountability for self & others, always display good corporate citizenship and support for company initiatives, and seek to lead others by your own example.
Assists in the training and development of teammates and ensure that the team is well prepared to perform and deliver a high standard of performance at all times.
You'll Come With
Maintaining and enhancing advanced Excel/VBA based applications that support merchants in core operations
Minimum 5 years’ experience in application development utilizing VBA and Excel.
Experience with Microsoft Power Query, Power Pivot PowerBI
Microsoft Access database development, SQL
MicroStrategy report development experience a plus
Working with users to extract and document business requirements
Troubleshoot and resolves application issues
Identifies opportunities to streamline current processes and tools
Compose and maintain project plans that include tasks, deliverables, development schedule, dependencies, milestones, and resource requirements
Design, develop and implement business tools utilizing the best platform for the project
Maintain documentation on all projects
Ensure tools and reports are validated and tested for accuracy and thoroughness
Experience in retail positions/systems (e.g. Merch Planning, Buying, Reporting, Analysis, or equivalent)
