POSITION SUMMARY:
The position will head Supply Planning for USA & South America and will be responsible for end-to-end Supply Planning activities, site specific procurement, logistics, material management, warehousing operations, inbound and outbound, exhibit batch planning as well as Third party supplies. This position is responsible for providing enduring technical excellence across several company operational functions. The incumbent will have a leadership role and make technical contributions to regional initiatives. The position will also be responsible for new product launches; in-market portfolio management & manage all IL partner relationships in USA.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Drive end-to-end Plant Supply Chain activities & Improvement process in Supply Planning, Logistics, Warehousing & Procurement.
+ Supply Planning, scheduling, and delivery for all Commercial and New products (incl. EBs and Validation batches) at Monroe and South America, including the Pilar, Argentina site.
+ Supply Planning and operational coordination with all US-based 3rd party FG manufacturers (including Althea, Renaissance, Hikma. Etc.)
+ Deliver inventory plans and procurement savings for the financial year.
+ Warehousing, Inbound and Outbound Logistics at Monroe and South America, including Pilar, Argentina Site
+ All in market Procurement (Direct and non-Capex Indirect - incl. operating supplies, consumables, assemblies, spares) for Monroe
+ Planning, tracking, and reporting of Manufacturing, Packing, and Dispatch adherence every week.
+ Regular quantification and resolution of Obsolete and slow-moving inventory
+ Ensure the Release of materials/Finished Goods as per the QA/QC timeline
+ Support new launches as per agreed commitments
+ Optimization of Warehouse capacity and space utilization with 100% compliance to all Quality and Regulatory requirements
+ Manage projects that are being developed in-house and would be manufactured at Glenmark manufacturing sites in the United States. Increase Manufacturing footprint in the US, thereby manufacturing products locally for the US market and South America, including the Pilar, Argentina site
+ Work closely with CDMOs & CROs based in the US. Increase Manufacturing footprint in the US by partnering with US-based CDMOs & CROs, thereby manufacturing products locally in the US market
+ Drive product portfolio planning & execution for the US market. Develop strong product pipeline for the US market to accelerate business growth.
+ OVERALL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership:
+ Develop and execute North America and LATAM supply chain strategy, including third-party warehouse integration.
+ Drive continuous improvement for scalability, cost efficiency, lead time, and service levels.
+ Ensure GMP compliance across supply chain and warehouse operations (U.S. and LATAM)
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Business Development, and Finance to resolve challenges and align priorities.
Supply Chain Operations:
+ Oversee demand, production, and material planning, procurement, and logistics for clinical and commercial manufacturing.
+ Optimize inventory and warehousing for control, traceability, and compliance.
+ Proactively mitigate risks and delays to ensure supply continuity for high-priority customer programs.
Procurement:
+ Lead the procurement function with a focus on strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and cost optimization.
+ Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures that ensure compliance, transparency, and efficiency.
+ Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and ensure supply reliability.
+ Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure quality, delivery, and service standards are met.
+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast material needs and align procurement strategies with operational goals.
+ Identify and onboard new suppliers to support innovation, scalability, and risk mitigation.
Client Interface & Relationship Management:
+ Act as the primary supply chain contact for key customers, ensuring transparency and responsiveness
+ Support tech transfers, program launches, and new product introductions with supply chain readiness plans.
Compliance & Risk Management:
+ Ensure full compliance with cGMP, GDP, and other applicable regulatory standards.
+ Develop risk management frameworks across sourcing, planning, and logistics to support business continuity.
Leadership & Team Development:
+ Build and mentor a high-performing supply chain team focused on ownership, agility, and excellence.
+ Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
+ Bachelor-s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
+ Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and supply chain analytics tools.
+ Proven ability to lead teams, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and manage complex supply chains in fast-paced environments.
+ Strong communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
Experience:
10-15 years of progressive supply chain experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles within CDMO, pharma, or biotech.
Knowledge and Skills (Functional / Technical):
+ Strong system thinking & Analytical skills

+ Process design & implementation
+ Technical understanding for key materials, understanding of manufacturing principles.
+ Deep knowledge of cGMP regulations, cold chain logistics, clinical/commercial supply planning, and regulated material flows.
