Job Description Summary

The Lead Service Specialist will work at the Houston Aero-derivative gas turbine engines Service Center. This role will help support Gate 1 with in-house maintenance, tooling support, calibration of tools, process improvements and various other activities directed by Gate 1 leader.

Role Summary/Purpose:

+ Align responsibilities/day to day duties with shop needs and engage the floor with process improvements

+ Collaborate closely with technicians, shop ops, and other key stakeholders to ensure project buy-in and execute

+ Create & maintain a list of priorities based on defined projects & initiatives

+ Set up and maintain inventory of parts & tooling as needed to support Gate 1

+ Ensure all projects remain within compliance of EHS and Quality policies

+ Demonstrated ability to drive and execute projects to completion

+ Maintain inventory of Gate 1 tooling

+ Perform repair maintenance as needed

+ Set up workstation layouts and tooling display for various modules

+ Perform other related duties as requested/assigned by Gate 1 Leader

+ Provide support in the disassembly when needed

Qualifications/Requirements:

+ Associate's degree from an accredited college/university OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of technical experience supporting a shop floor as a turbine tech or other support function.

+ Experience with Gas Turbine engines, preferably aircraft or aero derivatives

Desired Characteristics:

+ Aircraft and Powerplant (A&P) License or Powerplant License

+ Strong computer skills, and proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint

+ Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs

+ Demonstrated Inclusive behavior with strong ability to connect with and influence team

+ Strong oral and written communication skills

+ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

+ Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
